Trinity Hunt Partners announced on May 31 a majority investment in Centricity Research, a leading clinical research services provider specializing in conducting Phase I-IV clinical trials across more than 40 therapeutic areas. 

With more than 35 locations across the United States and Canada, Centricity has the capabilities and expertise to partner with pharmaceutical sponsors and contract research organizations in the design and execution of clinical trials. The company’s centralized processes, patient recruitment capabilities, integrated technology and dedicated team of clinical research professionals have conducted more than 2,500 studies and more than 100 FDA and Health Canada drug approvals. 

Trinity Hunt is a middle-market private equity firm focused on partnering with business, healthcare and consumer services companies to accelerate their growth and build them into industry leaders.

McGuireWoods served as legal advisor to Trinity Hunt. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

According to data captured in the LevinPro HC database, the Centricity Research deal marks Trinity Hunt’s first acquisition of the year. Trinity Hunt has announced one deal a year for the past four years. Last year, Trinity Hunt acquired SpineOne for an undisclosed price.
