Intelligent Medical Objects (IMO) announced that it has acquired Melax Technologies for an undisclosed price. According to data captured in the LevinPro HC database, this acquisition represents the 110th eHealth transaction of the year, and the 18th in the analytics specialty.

Melax Technologies is a healthcare data analytics and business intelligence company focused on Natural Language Processing that provides healthcare organizations with actionable insights into clinical and financial performance. The company is trusted by more than 650 healthcare organizations.

Founded in 1994, IMO is a healthcare data enablement company that provides clinical terminology management and data quality solutions, ensuring clinical data integrity and quality. IMO’s solution is the clinical terminology foundation in all major electronic health records and 89% of U.S. clinicians use IMO solutions. The company was acquired by Boston-based private equity firm Thomas H. Lee Partners in March 2022.

The acquisition of Melax will enhance IMO’s portfolio of healthcare data solutions and enable IMO to expand its offerings to various segments in the healthcare market to tackle diverse problems like improving clinical and administrative workflows, clinical research and patient outcomes. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
