The Pennant Group, Inc. announced that it has acquired the assets of Benefit Home Healthcare and Benefit By Your Side, marking Pennant’s first transaction since its purchase of Kenosha Visiting Nurse Association, Inc. in November 2022.
Benefit Home Healthcare and Benefit By Your Side provides skilled home health, private duty and community health services in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
The Pennant Group is a holding company of independent operating subsidiaries that provide healthcare services through 97 home health and hospice agencies and 51 senior living communities located in Arizona, California, Colorado, Idaho, Iowa, Montana, Nevada, Oklahoma, Oregon, Texas, Utah, Washington, Wisconsin and Wyoming.
The transaction expands The Pennant Group’s home health operations deeper into the state of Colorado. The Pennant Group’s CEO Brent Guerisoli reaffirmed that Pennant continues to pursue opportunities to acquire high quality home health, hospice and senior living businesses throughout the United States. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
According to data captured in the LevinPro HC database, this acquisition represents the 35th Home Health & Hospice (HH&H) transaction of 2023. This is a 22% decrease from last year, when 45 HH&H deals were announced between January 1, 2022, and May 5, 2022, and a 19% decrease from the same 2021 period when 43 HH&H deals were announced.
