Smile Doctors, a portfolio company of Linden Capital Partners and Thomas H. Lee Partners, announced on April 18 that it acquired six orthopedic practices.
Johnson Orthodontics is based in Waukee, Idaho and is run by Dr. Michael Johnson. With one Colorado Springs location, Johnson Orthodontics is run by Dr. Warren Johnson. Imagine Braces offers orthodontic care out of one Colorado location. It has three doctors on staff. Henneberry Orthodontics is run by Dr. Michael Henneberry and operates out of Ponca City and Stillwater, Oklahoma. Operating out of three locations in Oklahoma, Craig and Streight Orthodontics is run by a team of three physicians. Modern Orthodontics is run by Dr. Alan Wong and operates out of three Florida locations.
Smile Doctors is an orthodontic dental support organization with more than 390 locations in 27 states.
These acquisitions bring the total number of Smile Doctors’ locations to more than 390 clinics. With these additions, Smile Doctors has acquired 18 clinics in 2023. The financial terms were not disclosed.
According to data captured in the LevinPro HC database, this transaction marks the 165th Physician Medical Groups acquisition of the year, and 48th in the dental specialty. Between January 1, 2022 and April 18, 2022, 39 dental transactions were reported.
