Ivy Fertility, a portfolio company of New York-based private equity firm InTandem Capital Partners, announced on April 17 that it acquired Virginia Fertility & IVF.
Virginia Fertility & IVF is a Charlottesville, Virginia-based reproductive health, infertility and IVF practice led by Christopher Williams, M.D., Laura Smith, M.D. and Linnea Goodman, M.D. FACOG. The practice’s physicians have faculty appointments at the University of Virginia and residents train onsite at Virginia Fertility & IVF.
Ivy Fertility is recognized as pioneers and innovators in the field of advanced reproductive technologies, in vitro fertilization, third-party reproduction, andrology and research. It was founded in 1989.
The financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
According to data captured in the LevinPro HC database, this transaction represents the 161st Physician Medical Groups acquisition of 2023, and seventh in the OB/GYN specialty. This also marks Ivy Fertility’s second transaction of 2023 where it previously acquired Fertility Associates of Memphis.
