Vitreoretinal Consultants of New York (VCR) announced on March 16 that it completed its acquisition of Retina Consultations.
The new location will allow VRC to provide advanced retinal and macular care to patients in Westchester County, New York. The financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
Run by Dr. Charles Mango and Dr. Steven Bodine, Retina Consultations provides eye care from its location in Bronxville, New York.
Founded in 1981, VRC is a retina practice serving Long Island and Queens, New York. It operates nine locations and has 17 physicians.
According to data captured in the LevinPro HC database, this acquisition represents the 111th Physician Medical Groups and 11th eye care transaction of the year. The only eye care transaction of 2023 to have a disclosed price is ASG Eye Hospitals’ acquisition of Vasan Eye Care, based in Chennai, India, which was bought for more than $64.3 million.
