South Bend Orthopaedics (SBO) has entered into a partnership with OrthoAlliance.
South Bend Orthopaedics was represented by ASCs Inc. through the transaction process. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
South Bend Orthopaedics operates clinics in South Bend, Mishawaka, Elkhart, Plymouth and LaPorte, Indiana, which are staffed by an experienced team of physicians, physician assistants, physical therapists, athletic trainers, physical therapy assistants and occupational therapists.
OrthoAlliance, a physician-led management services organization (MSO) for orthopedic groups, was formed in 2019 in partnership with Beacon Orthopaedics and Revelstoke Capital Partners, a Denver-based private equity firm. Beacon’s management team leads the MSO’s operations. OrthoAlliance’s partner practices feature more than 170 physicians across all orthopedic and sports medicine specialties. It has more than 2,000 employees.
According to data captured in the LevinPro HC database, this acquisition represents the eighth orthopaedic acquisition of 2023. By comparison, there were five orthopaedic deals announced between January 1, 2022, and March 9, 2022.
