Health Connect America, Inc., a portfolio company of Palladium Equity Partners, announced that it has completed the acquisitions of First Home Care and North Star Counseling of Central Florida. These transactions build on Health Connect America’s previous three acquisitions announced in early 2022.

Based in Richmond, Virginia, First Home Care is a provider of therapeutic foster care (TFC) programs in four locations throughout Virginia, and in collaboration with Foundations for Home and Community in Washington, D.C. and Maryland.

Based in Kissimmee, Florida, North Star Counseling of Central Florida provides behavioral therapy services and targeted case management focusing on children and their families.

First Home Care provides Health Connect America additional coverage in Virginia and will help expand Health Connect’s TFC service line. The addition of North Star further expands Health Connect’s footprint in Florida. North Star’s founders, Wilson and Omayra Villanueva, have joined Health Connect America as directors of operations in Florida. Financial terms were not disclosed.

Health Connect America is a multi-state behavioral health platform that treats numerous issues, including conduct disorder, substance abuse, autism disorders and emotional disturbance.

According to the LevinPro HC database, this marks the 12th Behavioral Health Care (BHC) transaction of 2023 and the fifth in the counseling specialty. There were 21 BHC and two counseling deals announced between January 1, 2022, and February 23, 2022.
