Los Angeles-based Unity MSK announced on January 24 that it acquired Orthopaedic Associates of Riverside, LLC.
With the addition of this partnership, Unity MSK now has seven Chicago MSA locations that provide orthopedic and podiatric medical care to commercial, Medicare and workers compensation patients. The financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
Orthopaedic Associates of Riverside, LLC has three locations in the Chicago MSA (Chicago, Riverside and La Grange) and is run by four providers.
Unity MSK is a national platform providing support services to practices offering the full continuum of musculoskeletal care. It was formed by Dallas-based private equity firm Trinity Hunt Partners in 2021. Unity MSK’s Chicago MSA locations consist of 10 physicians, five physician assistants and a team of 60 support staff.
According to data captured in the LevinPro HC database, this acquisition represents the 33rd Physician Medical Groups transaction of 2023, two of them in the orthopaedic specialty. From January 1, 2022 through January 24, 2022, one orthopaedic transaction was announced; OrthoAlliance’s acquisition of JIS Orthopedics.
