Effective March 1, St. Vincent’s Orthopedics will join Hughston Clinic Orthopaedics. The addition of St. Vincent’s will aid Hughston Clinic in expanding its footprint in Alabama. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Hughston Clinic Orthopaedics specializes in sports medicine, providing treatment for musculoskeletal injury and disease. Hughston Clinic has more than 30 orthopedic clinics in Georgia, Alabama, Florida, Tennessee and Indiana.
According to data captured in the LevinPro HC database, this acquisition represents the 25th Physician Medical Group (PMG) transaction of 2023 and the first in the orthopedic subsector. This is a significant decline from last year, when there were 68 PMG deals and two orthopedic transactions announced between January 1, 2022, and January 20, 2022.
