The US Oncology Network announced on January 17 that it acquired Epic Care and Nexus Health

Epic Care has 21 sites of service located throughout the San Francisco Bay Area with 47 physicians. Epic Care provides oncology, family/internal medicine, breast health, bariatric, endocrinology, infectious disease and plastic and reconstructive surgery services.

Nexus Health has nine physicians in Santa Fe, New Mexico, representing a range of specialties with plans for expansion in progress.

Supported by McKesson Corporation, The US Oncology Network provides doctors with access to coordinated resources, best business practices and infrastructure. The company helps more than 1,400 independent physicians care for their patients.

Epic Care and Nexus Health will have access to the expertise and resources of The US Oncology Network that empower practices to succeed during the transition to value-based care. The financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.

According to data captured in the LevinPro HC database, this transaction represents the 23rd Physician Medical Groups acquisition of 2023, including two in the multi-specialty subsector. In 2022, six multi-specialty PMG acquisitions were announced.
