Anne Arundel Dermatology Management (ADM) announced on December 14 that it purchased North Atlanta Dermatology and Dermatology Institute for Skin Cancer & Cosmetic Surgery, as well as the dermatology laboratory, SkinPath Solutions.

ADM, a portfolio company of Ridgemont Equity Partners, is the largest dermatology provider in Maryland, with 19 locations and more than 35 providers offering general dermatology, advanced skin cancer treatments and cosmetic procedures.

SkinPath Solutions is a privately owned, independent laboratory specializing in the diagnosis of skin, hair and nail disorders of all types. SkinPath serves clients across the Southeast with dermatopathologists licensed in more than 10 states.

North Atlanta Dermatology has five locations in the Atlanta, Georgia MSA (Marietta, Suwanee, Buford, Duluth and Cumming) and is run by five doctors. Dermatology Institute for Skin Cancer & Cosmetic Surgery has one location in Newnan, Georgia, and is run by one dermatologist.

These new affiliations bring ADM’s platform to approximately 150 locations and 300 providers across seven states. Financial terms of the deals were not disclosed.

Previously in 2022, ADM completed one other transaction, where it acquired four dermatology practices.

According to the LevinPro HC database, the acquisitions of the dermatology practices represent the 571st and 572nd Physician Medical Groups (PMG) transactions of the year, 32 of them in the dermatology specialty. Additionally, the acquisition of SkinPath Solutions marks the 124th Laboratories, MRI and Dialysis acquisition of 2022, a 13% increase from the previous year.
