Birmingham, Alabama-based Therapy Brands, a leading healthcare IT partner for mental, behavioral and rehabilitative therapy practices, announced on November 28 its acquisition of Conway, New Hampshire-based The Echo Group. This acquisition will allow Therapy Brands to expand its capabilities and offer complimentary solutions to its growing product portfolio. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Since 1981, The Echo Group has partnered with behavioral health agencies across the country by providing electronic health record (EHR) services specific to the needs of behavioral health agencies. The Echo Group created EchoVantage EHR, a visual-based EHR for behavioral health.
Therapy Brands partners with thousands of therapy practices that rely on its solutions to simplify their administration, improve revenue and enable them to focus on patient care.
According to the LevinPro HC database, this marks the 309th eHealth transaction of 2022 and the 18th in the EHR subsector. This is a slight decrease from 2021, when there were 327 eHealth and 20 EHR deals between January 1, 2021, and November 29, 2021.
