Vision Integrated Partners announced on November 9 that it acquired Heart of America Eye Care and Mid-America Eye Center & Physician’s Surgery Center. This marks the 518th Physician Medical Groups (PMG) acquisition of the year.
Backed by The Firmament Group, Vision Integrated Partners (VIP) is a managed services organization providing non-medical services to its network of eyecare professionals across 22 practices and 11 ambulatory surgery centers in Kansas, Missouri, Ohio, Oklahoma, Florida and California.
Heart of America Eye Care has locations in Shawnee Mission, Overland Park and Prairie Village, Kansas and well as a location in Belton, Missouri. It is run by nine doctors.
Mid-America Eye Center & Physician’s Surgery Center has one main location in Prairie Village, Kansas with the Physician’s Surgery Center attached. There are four additional locations around the state and in Missouri. The practice is run by four providers.
These acquisitions expand VIP’s position in the greater Kansas City market, which now includes 48 physicians, 19 locations and five ambulatory surgery centers. Terms of the deals were not disclosed. Previously in 2022, VIP acquired Britton Vision Associates, Southwest Eye Clinic & Surgery Center and Sedalia Eye Associates.
