Pharos Capital Group, LLC, a middle-market private equity firm based in Dallas and Nashville, announced on September 12 a significant investment in Renal Care 360°, a nephrology practice and chronic care management company founded by renal care entrepreneur Joe Cashia. The size and terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

This marks the fourth investment from Pharos’ latest flagship fund, Pharos Capital Partners IV, L.P.

Pharos’ investment, along with additional equity investment from Renal Care 360°’s founding shareholders, will be used to support continued growth of the company’s RC360° Connected Care Program, geographic expansion through acquisitions and the development of value-based care programs.

Renal Care 360° partners with health systems, physician groups and communities to provide enhanced healthcare management services with a primary focus on patients in underserved, rural communities.

Pharos Capital Group is a physician-founded investment firm focused on growing healthcare companies that aim to lower the cost of care, improve patient outcomes and expand access to care in underserved markets. It has invested in 58 companies and has over $1.2 billion of private equity assets under management as of June 30, 2022.

According to the LevinPro HC database, this marks the 95th transaction in the Laboratories, MRI and Dialysis sector this year, and the sixth deal in the dialysis subsector. This also marks Pharos Capital Group’s second investment in the dialysis space this year. In May, the firm made a significant investment in Sanderling Renal Services, Inc., a provider of dialysis and renal telemedicine services focusing on patients in underserved communities.
