EyeSouth Partners, a portfolio company of Shore Capital Partners, announced on September 9 that it acquired Raleigh Ophthalmology for an undisclosed price. Provident Healthcare Partners and Husch Blackwell advised Raleigh Ophthalmology on the transaction.
EyeSouth Partners has a network of nearly 30 practices with more than 245 doctors providing medical and surgical eye care services at more than 140 locations. EyeSouth supports its affiliated practices and physician partners with strategic guidance, administrative resources, operating expertise and capital.
Raleigh Ophthalmology has three locations in the Raleigh, North Carolina, area and has 10 doctors.
This is EyeSouth’s 31st acquisition overall, first in North Carolina and fourth of the year. According to the LevinPro HC database, this acquisition is the 399th Physician Medical Group (PMG) transaction and the 63rd ophthalmology/optometry deal of the year. Retina Consultants of America, a portfolio company of Webster Equity Partners, has completed the most ophthalmology/optometry acquisitions this year with seven deals.
