The Fertility Partners, Canada’s leading platform of fertility practices, acquired The Ottawa Fertility Centre, a fertility center in Ottawa, Ontario. The financial terms of the deal were not released.
The Ottawa Fertility Centre is an innovative center in fertility care and assisted reproductive medicine, with the vision to help build families through compassionate care combined with the latest reproductive health care technology. It employs 10 physicians. It is the only Ottawa-based fertility center offering the Ministry Funded Fertility Program. Its physicians have affiliations with the University of Ottawa and Ottawa Hospital, and it has a satellite relationship with Kingston General Hospital.
The Fertility Partners, a portfolio company of Morrison Park Advisors since 2019, operates a network of clinics across North America. Services cover all aspects of reproductive medicine and a wide range of laboratory diagnostics.
The combined group of companies includes 11 IVF clinics and over 20 locations across six Canadian provinces supported by world-renowned physicians, research scientists, embryologists and andrologists.
“By joining the TFP network, our Ottawa Fertility Centre team is excited to accelerate our growth and ability to provide patients with the best clinical outcomes and unparalleled experiences,” said Dr. Doron Schmorgun, Medical Director of Ottawa Fertility Centre.
This is the seventh fertility physician medical group acquisition of 2022 and the first The Fertility Partners of 2022. In early 2021, Fertility Partners acquired The Toronto Institute For Reproductive Medicine and ReproMed for an undisclosed price. Considering how much activity this year has seen for fertility clinics, we anticipate February will be busy for the subsector.
