On January 5, U.S. Oral Surgery Management (USOSM) announced a new partnership with Northwest Florida Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (NFOMS), expanding its presence in the state of Florida.

Founded in 2017, U.S. Oral Surgery Management (USOSM) is a specialty management services company that collaborates with premier oral and maxillofacial surgeons to offer a partnership solution for continued and accelerated practice success. Formerly a portfolio company of RiverGlade Capital and The Thurston Group, USOSM announced it was being acquired by New York-based private equity firm Oak Hill Capital Partners on November 11, 2021.

Located in Pensacola, Florida, NFOMS has one location and two oral surgeons. The practice offers a full scope of OMS procedures, including dental implants, wisdom and other tooth extractions, orthognathic surgery and oral pathology, as well as treats facial trauma, TMJ/TMD disorders and cleft lip/palate malformations.

This marks USOSM’s second partnership in the Sunshine State. In May 2021, USOSM entered the state when it announced a partnership with WestShore OMS Specialists, an oral and maxillofacial surgery practice with two locations in southwest Florida. Headquartered in Irving, Texas, USOSM has partner practices spanning 18 states. They include Texas, Colorado, Georgia, Tennessee, Minnesota, Alabama, Oklahoma, Louisiana, South Carolina, Mississippi, Florida, Indiana, Kentucky, Arizona, California, Oregon, Virginia and Washington.

On January 6, In response to its continued growth and development, USOSM announced a restructuring of its board of directors. “Our first partner practices were located in Texas, and the surgeons on the USOSM Board of Directors reflected that. Now we have partner practices in 19 states, so our surgeon representatives should be more reflective of those diverse locations,” said Richard Hall, USOSM president and CEO.

As part of the initiative, Dr. Maxwell D. Finn of Oral Surgery Associates of North Texas will be stepping down from the board. His position will be filled by Dr. Vincent J. Perciaccante, a managing partner and practicing surgeon with South Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery (SOMS), near Atlanta, Georgia. Dr. Perciaccante is also the president and a diplomat of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. He will sit alongside Mr. Hall on the board, as well as Dr. Thomas S. Weil of Austin Oral Surgery and Oak Hill Capital representatives Brian Cherry, Micah Meisel and Peter Armstrong.
