Concentra, a national leader in occupational medicine, announced on November 15 the acquisition of Med Center 100, a Tower Health-operated occupational medicine practice in Exton, Pennsylvania. Following completion of the sale, Med Center 100’s new name will be Concentra Exton.

Founded in 1979 in Amarillo, Texas, Concentra is a national healthcare company focused on improving the health of America’s workforce, one patient at a time. The company provides occupational medicine, urgent care, physical therapy and wellness services from nearly 520 medical centers nationwide and operates more than 130 onsite medical facilities.

The Med Center 100 acquisition will enable Concentra to provide Nevada employers with additional access to care, including complimentary transportation available for all injury-related visits to the medical center.

“Concentra is excited to expand its presence in southeastern Pennsylvania and work with Exton employers, growing our network to 18 locations in the state,” said Latha Brubaker, MD, vice president of Concentra medical operations.

As the premier provider of occupational health services, this acquisition by Concentra comes as no surprise. At the start of November 2021, Concentra also scooped up Nevada Occupational Health & Injury Care Center (now known by its new name Concentra Carson City), a Carson City-based medical center that provides evaluation and treatment of work- and non-work-related injuries.

According to data on the LevinPro HC platform, this acquisition marks the seventh rehabilitation deal we have seen so far this month, and we’re only halfway through November. In comparison, we only saw 3 rehabilitation deals throughout the month of October. And with Concentra being such a persistent buyer in the space, it’s not looking like these rehab acquisitions will slow anytime soon. And we hope they don’t!
