Consolidation is happening all over the healthcare market, and one little-noticed area is the oxygen-therapy durable medical equipment providers.

Aeroflow Healthcare, a home oxygen provider and leading durable medical equipment provider based in Asheville, North Carolina, announced its third deal of the year on December 4. The company is acquiring Wheelock Home Medical’s continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) resupply program.

The deal gives Aeroflow a foot into the Michigan medical device market. CPAP supplies can deteriorate and leak air, and Aeroflow will be able to resupply those devices to ensure effective treatment.

In November, Aeroflow purchased a positive airway pressure business from Integrity Medical, and the CPAP resupply program from Med-Claire Inc in August. Med-Claire gave Aeroflow a presence in the Northeast market in Connecticut, and the PAP supply line is a strong supplement to Aeroflow’s CPAP product line.

On December 10 came word that AeroCare Holdings, a portfolio company of Peloton Equity, is gearing up for a sales process and has engaged Triple Tree to help with that.
