WELL Health Clinic Network Inc., a subsidiary of WELL Health Technologies Corp., announced that it has entered into an agreement with Shoppers Drug Mart Inc. to acquire all of the primary care medical clinics operated by Shoppers under the name The Health Clinic by Shoppers™. Post-close, WELL will rebrand these clinics under the WELL Clinic brand. The Health Clinic by Shoppers™ comprises 10 clinics across Canada (four in British Columbia and six in Ontario), with more than 35 physicians on staff. The digital health provider WELL Health Technologies Corp. has announced a new deal for Silicon Valley-based wisp, Inc. (WISP). WELL Health is a prolific strategic buyer in the healthcare M&A market (20 deals over three years) and has a robust network of clinics and telehealth operations in British Columbia, but has been making moves in the United States recently. The Canadian-based company WELL Health Technologies Corp. (TSX.V: WELL) went on an acquisition spree in 2020, adding a plethora of smaller, digital health companies to build up its product portfolio.
