Quadria-Backed HCAH Acquires Nightingales Home Health Services in India

Health Care At Home India Pvt. Ltd (HCAH), backed by Asia healthcare focused private equity firm Quadria Capital, has acquired Nightingales Home Health Services in a share swap deal. According to data captured in the LevinPro HC database, this acquisition represents the 28th Home Health & Hospice (HH&H) transaction of 2023. The acquisition aims to increase HCAH’s geographic footprint in India. With this acquisition, Nightingales’ co-founder, Vishal Bali, will join HCAH as a shareholder. Quest Diagnostics Bought and Sold Labs in October

The Labs, MRI & Dialysis sector saw a surge of deal making in October. The sector is a conglomeration of various healthcare segments, obviously, but clinical laboratories drove the nine announced transactions. Quest Diagnostics Inc. (NYSE: DGX) announced three of those deals, first with its divestiture of its India-based medical diagnostics business, consisting of 24 diagnostic labs across the sub-continent, including a large specialized diagnostics practice with three reference labs with expertise in oncology, genomics and precision medicine. The first-ever Private Equity Healthcare Investor Forum took place in New York City on April 27, 2016 at the Westin Times Square. We were invited to attend by the sponsor, Private Equity International. The conference was originally planned to span two days, but was cut down to a single, panel-crammed event a few weeks before. Attendance was spotty, and at times it seemed the bulk of the audience were all speakers.
