PE Firm Shore Capital Partners Sells Argentum Medical to BioDerm

Chicago-based private equity firm Shore Capital Partners announced the sale of Argentum Medical to BioDerm, a portfolio company of Denver-based private equity firm Mountaingate Capital. The transaction closed on January 31, 2023. Moelis & Company served as financial advisor to Argentum and Winston & Strawn LLP served as legal advisor to Shore and Argentum. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. Based in Geneva, Illinois, Argentum is a provider of infection prevention solutions for the management of wounds. BioScrip and Option Care Merge

BioScrip (NASDAQ: BIOS) and Option Care announced they are merging in perhaps the biggest home health deal of 2019 so far. Option Care provides home and alternate treatment site infusion services and is owned by Madison Dearborn Partners, LLC (MDP) and Walgreens Boots Alliance, Inc. (NASDAQ: WBA). BioScrip offers infusion and home care management solutions, and as one of the largest nationwide providers, it services nearly 70 service locations nationwide. Dentsply Sirona Picks Up MIS Implants

Just last September, Dentsply International (NASDAQ: XRAY) acquired Sirona Dental Systems (NASDAQ: SIRO) for $5.5 billion in an all-stock transaction. The acquisition added Sirona’s worldwide dental equipment business, which posted revenues of $1.15 billion (4.8x) on a trailing 12-month basis, and EBITDA of $280 million (19.8x). The transaction created the world’s largest maker of professional dental products and technologies, with net revenue of approximately $3.8 billion and adjusted EBITDA of more than $900 million on pro forma basis.
