BlueSprig Pediatrics, with the backing of KKR & Co. (NYSE: KKR), has been an active player in the M&A field. Since BlueSprig was formed in October 2018, it has reported five behavioral health care transactions in three different states, according to our Deal Search Online database. Now it has a foothold in Florida. Last week the company announced its acquisition of Florida Autism Center and Fusion Autism Center for $120 million. LGC Gets New Owners After Multi-Billion Deal

Cinven and Astorg have joined forces to purchase LGC Group from KKR (NYSE: KKR). The two global private equity firms spent $3.88 billion (£3 billion) for the firm, according to sources cited in Private Equity News. LGC provides a range of measurement tools, proficiency testing schemes, supply chain assurance standards, and specialty genomics reagents to the life sciences industry. Summer Heat Sinks Deal Making in July 2017

Deal makers took a break in July, judging by the lower deal volume and lower deal value posted in our preliminary data for the month. Compared with the previous month, deal volume dropped 20%, to 100 transactions, and deal value fell 49%, to $8.7 billion. Third quarters are typically slower for mergers and acquisitions, although there have been a few exceptions. In 2015, a record 411 deals were announced in Q3, which was 17% better than the same quarter in 2014, and 10% better than the third quarter in 2016.
