Vista Equity Partners Acquires Model N for $1.25 Billion

On April 8, Vista Equity Partners, a private equity firm based in Austin, Texas, announced that it acquired Model N. Under the terms of the agreement, Vista will acquire all the outstanding shares of Model N common stock for $30.00 per share in an all-cash transaction valued at approximately $1.25 billion.  Model N is a leader in revenue optimization and compliance for pharmaceutical, medtech and high-tech innovators. An affiliate of Kohlberg & Company, LLC has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire a majority stake in Worldwide Clinical Trials (WCT), in partnership with WCT’s management team. Following the sale to Kohlberg, WCT’s former owner, The Jordan Company, will retain a meaningful minority equity stake in the company. BioScrip (NASDAQ: BIOS) and Option Care announced they are merging in perhaps the biggest home health deal of 2019 so far. Option Care provides home and alternate treatment site infusion services and is owned by Madison Dearborn Partners, LLC (MDP) and Walgreens Boots Alliance, Inc. (NASDAQ: WBA). BioScrip offers infusion and home care management solutions, and as one of the largest nationwide providers, it services nearly 70 service locations nationwide.
